Meet the team

At Trafford Builders we’re a tight team of skilled tradesmen,

Ben Pepper, Managing director

During his 20 years in construction, Ben’s been lucky enough to work with some of the finest craftsmen in the game. As a gold card carrying plasterer he is the most senior tradesman on site, it’s Ben’s job is to stand back and check everything’s going to plan. He’s that quietly encouraging stickler for quality in the hard hat and clipboard.  Ben is our inhouse inspector and our lead contact with council planning officers, and project architect and engineers. Off site, he manages our marketing and HR/training.

Incidentally, Ben has a first class honours degree in design, including interior design. This means he has a keen sense of  what will and what won’t work well in a space. If you’re ever walking through Victoria Park in Stretford, you can’t miss the huge steel sculpture – well that’s Ben’s work and Trafford Builders did the groundwork.

Ken Burke
,  Project Manager

Ken brings his blend of zeal, warmth and cheerful communication to all our construction projects. He’ll be your day-to-day contact, updating you on exactly what is happening onsite, and what – if anything –  we’ll need from you.  He’s our on-site team leader and trouble shooter.

Ken brings to Trafford Builders his general building experience – including fitting luxury bathrooms and managing property development projects – coupled with his track record of running his own logistics company and  a decade in customer service. You can catch Ken at 6am most mornings, walking his pet whippet in Victoria Park, Stretford.

Meet the able craftsmen who will be steering your building project to success.

Wesley Rackham, Senior Bricklayer

Wesley is our head trowel man. As an award-winning senior bricklayer he leads the pouring, blockwork, brickwork, and pointing to ensure it meets the latest building regulations and industry best practice. The East Lancashire lad took three years out to care for people with learning disabilities. Now that we’ve lured him back into the building trade he’s become a core team member. Hailing from Lancashire, Wes loves working with natural stone.
